David Whiteside establishes the firm. Steve Rosenberg joins that year.

2011

Tom Catalano joins the firm.

2017

Steve Rosenberg joins David as Partner.

LA office opens.

Whiteside Management becomes Springpoint Group. The firm opens a New York Office.

Starting with one project in Marin, CA in 2008, Springpoint Group has now represented hundreds of clients throughout the country and the world.

On our 15th anniversary, partners Steve Rosenberg and Tom Catalano decided to change the company name to  align with the collaborative approach we are dedicated to providing.  We chose Springpoint Group, a name symbolizing a strong starting point - a name rooted in architecture. Our springpoint is the moment we partner with our clients and work to elevate their project to its full potential.
Our client advocacy approach is founded in integrity and the advocacy we provide is built on our expert project management. As we embark on a new chapter for our company, we are proud of the work we have already accomplished and are excited for what lies ahead.




Leadership

Steve Rosenberg
Managing Partner

Steve is a native San Franciscan who started his career lighting in the film industry. After transitioning to architectural lighting, he realized that he had a passion for project management. Steve joined the firm back in 2008 and has been managing high-end, complex projects since. Outside of work, Steve enjoys running and spending time with his wife and two kids.

Tom Catalano
Partner

Tom comes from a family of builders and became passionate about the process at a very young age. After many years of running a general contracting firm, Tom went to work for a family office acting as the Owner's Representative. In 2011, Tom and his wife Bre moved to Palo Alto to raise their family. Currently they reside in Half Moon Bay and love hiking, biking, going to the beach, skiing, and traveling with their two young children.

David Whiteside
Founding Partner

David founded the firm in 2008 and hasn’t looked back since. He’s grown the business and established the firm as the leader in the Owner’s Representation market. David enjoys anything outdoors: backpacking, fly fishing, scuba diving, and flying single and twin engine airplanes. He stays busy with his kids and many grandchildren.

Nate Rubin
Principal

Nate is a seasoned project manager based in NYC. Originally from Minneapolis, MN, Nate has proudly called New York his home since 1996. Nate boasts a diverse background in project management successfully overseeing commercial, hospitality, retail, government, and luxury residential projects throughout the US, Mexico, and Canada. In his downtime, Nate enjoys working out, cooking, playing with his dog and spending quality time with his family.

Jonny Park
Director of Project Management

Jonny earned his B.A. degree in Economics from UC Berkeley and has 9+ years experience in high-end construction management. Jonny believes that structured processes and well-defined goals are not only fundamental building blocks for a successful project, but also exciting challenges that help our clients bring their project to life. He enjoys travel and golf in his free time.

Craig Doty
Senior Project Manager

Craig was born and raised in the East Bay, and graduated from the University of Oregon with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture. He spent the first ten years of his career in residential architecture, and the past 20 years in commercial and high-end residential project management. In his spare time Craig enjoys scuba diving and snow skiing.

Don Bollard
Project Manager

A California native, Don graduated with a B.S. in mechanical engineering from Santa Clara University. He started his career working for a large-scale, commercial general contractor before transitioning to the world of Owners Representation. Don has 7+ years of experience in the construction industry working on challenging and unique projects. In his free time, you’ll find Don skiing, golfing, or making fresh pasta.

Brittney Cooper
Project Manager

Brittney began her career as a landscape architect, designing large estates and high-end residences throughout New York and Connecticut. With 5+ years of construction experience, Brittney is driven by a love of design and an enthusiasm for seeing projects come to life. Outside the office Brittney enjoys hiking and all manner of crafts from knitting to woodworking.

Jay Ginwala
Project Manager

Jay has over 10 years of experience on project teams building high end, custom homes. He has worked for general contractors and owner’s representatives, and believes transparency, honesty and communication among all project stakeholders are the foundation of a successful project. Based in San Francisco, Jay has worked on projects in the Bay Area, Palm Springs, Aspen and France. In his free time Jay enjoys hiking, live music, and spending time with family and friends.

Don Horton
Project Manager

Don has an extensive background in commercial construction, and has since been with the company for 10+ years. He’s managed high-end projects in the San Francisco Bay Area, Aspen, Nantucket, and as far as Bora Bora. He’s applied commercial principles to the high-end residential process in order to deliver phenomenal products for clients. Don is an avid fly fisherman, and when not at work you’ll find him reeling in trout, steelhead and bonefish.

Analy Negado
Project Manager

Analy grew up in the Bay Area and has stayed close to home throughout her 18+ year career in construction and project management. Analy’s background includes experience in both the private and public sectors, as well as both residential and commercial projects. If she’s not on site, Analy can likely be found in the garden with her 3 rescue pups.

Kirsty Reid
Project Manager

With a decade of expertise in design and project management across residential and commercial domains, Kirsty has specialized in crafting luxury and lifestyle hotels. Infusing a hospitality mindset into every project, she delivers functional, inviting and captivating environments tailored to each client's space. Outside the office, she finds joy in travel and exploration, particularly through culinary adventures.

Cara Brinster
Associate Project Manager

Cara was born and raised in the New York City, and graduated from Claremont McKenna College with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics & Finance. She spent the first portion of her career working in Finance before transitioning to Owners Representation in fall 2019. She specializes in project budgeting and invoice management. Currently she lives in Nosara, Costa Rica and enjoys yoga, golf, and surfing in her free time.

Jake Kidwell
Associate Project Manager

Jake attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and graduated with a degree in construction management. He started his career working for a Bay Area general contractor specializing in luxury, multi-family construction. Jake enjoys taking an active role onsite throughout the entire project life cycle. When not working you can find Jake surfing or spending time outside.

Nicolas Ortiz-Abello
Associate Project Manager

Nicolas comes with diverse experience in architecture, engineering and construction. He began his career working in construction management, followed by 3 years of international experience in housing reconstruction and disaster recovery. Nicolas earned his master's degree in Sustainable Design and Construction form Stanford University. Outside of work you can find him hiking, road cycling or playing volleyball.

Lupita Silva
Associate Project Manager

Lupita has 8+ years construction experience in many disciplines, including multi-family residential, commercial tenant improvements, and lab buildouts. Lupita is interested in building strong relationships and providing an exceptional customer experience. In her free time, Lupita enjoys gardening, cooking, and roller skating.

Alex Zimmerman
Associate Project Manager

Alex earned his B.A. in Architecture from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and has 7+ years experience in Owner’s Representation. Alex's background includes experience in public school renovations and high-end tenant improvement projects in San Francisco. In his free time, he enjoys traveling abroad and outdoor activities like hiking and swimming in the ocean.

Paul Sagara
Controller

Paul has 20+ years of financial experience across multiple different disciplines, and he currently handles all financial aspects of Springpoint Group. When he’s not crunching numbers, he enjoys skiing, open water swimming, and spending time with his family.

Liza Cid-Bouska
Project Accountant

Born and raised in San Francisco, Liza has 20+ years of experience in both commercial and residential construction. Using her knowledge of construction management and construction accounting, Liza can build strong relationships with clients and vendors. When not working, Liza enjoys spending time with her family and doing volunteer work.
